soobmater
i have a 85gl wagon and was getting new tires soon. Would 215/75R-14's fit on my soob without cutting the fenders to much. if not i will wait till i get it lifted.
archemitis
those are about 28s. i've heard a few folks say they fit 27s on an ea82, with no lift. just the stock lift cranked in, and alot of fender trimming. probably not without a lift.
soobmater
what about 205's? will those fit without triming the heck out of the fenders?
soobmater
205's you wouldn't even need to cut the fenders would you?
subyrally
i know on my rx with 15"pugs and 205 width tires, the fronts hang out about an inch on both sides of the car, never had any contact between the tires and fenders though.the rear tires are just barely sticking out on the sides. looks hot though, would look better with a wide body kit. TheSubaruJunkie
yup, even 195/50R15's stick out about an inch. I think it looks more agressive that way, and I have room to drop the front another inch or so. 215/75's will NOT fit without a lift. I run 205/75R14's on my wagon with a 3" lift kit. I still had to trim alittle fender for it to fit. -Brian
Qman
The only way to know for sure is to test fit a set. Brian, your wagon is an EA81 and his is an EA82. They have a huge difference in the wheel wells. What doesn't fit yours will probably fit his.
TheSubaruJunkie
Just letting him know from my experience. Chances are, your tires wont fit. But ken is right... only way to know for sure is to try it for yourself. -Brian
soobmater
i will be getting a lift soon are the 215's still the biggest tires? or can i go bigger?
JWX
205/60/13 on the enkeis rubbed on the rear of my RX
WJM
But 205/60/13 on stock rims dont rub. 215/50/13's rub on the inside rear on the subframe during HARD cornering with the car pretty low....ofcourse, those are real R compund race tires and stock 1987 bushings. soobmater
mine will be lifted at the first weekend of may so maybe i'll just wait and then get the 215's. Does kumo make a 215 mud terrain? if not what other is a good tire. if it is a little bit bigger o well
