cd45 Posted April 8, 2005 Share Posted April 8, 2005 I got a vacuum leak on my Soobie on Monday. Today I found out it was the EGR valve. I called AutoZone, they can get it but they want $200 for it. pyromanic Posted April 8, 2005 Share Posted April 8, 2005 I took mine off and threw it away. (it did not work) Capped off the manifold where it was. I am not saying this is good. My car SEEMS to run fine. This is not advice. If problems may be expected from doing this, I think others on the board more experienced than I will chime in? (hope so!) Can a bad valve really cause it to throw this code? I would think the only feedback would be in the solenoid itself.
