TROGDOR!
Got myself another XT today! Picked her up from a mechanic for $200 cash. She had been sitting behind his shop for 5 months, at the 6 month mark she would have gone to the junkyard. 149K miles, body is pretty solid for this part of the country. The car is an '88 2WD DL, bare bones, no options at all. It's a VERY good runner, purred (or shall I say roared, BIG exhaust leak) all the way home. This car will most likely become my daily driver for when the turbo XT is having work done. Can't wait to get her legally registered so I can drive her around. Pics are in my USMB album at http://usmb.net/gallery/albun88 Now if I could just be like Paul and find these things for free....

DerFahrer
Trogdor, very nice. I'm new to the old Subies. I bought an XT GL about 3 weeks ago, it's in a lot better condition than your new one, but I paid a lot more . Although I'm in love with it already, I'm still new to it. What does my GL have that your DL doesn't? Mine only has a radio, but it has power everything, 4WD pushbutton, and air suspension (which is all-new BTW!). Is that what yours is lacking? I found an XT Turbo for sale by me, but it's an auto and there is so much moisture in the interior that weeds are growing in the carpet (:cornfuzz: )
PHATBRAT
I just found a pretty nice XT6 for sale today. Guy wants 130 but for me.........800. Anyone in or near jersey that is interested let me know. Boz
bushbasher
a gl would have less power options, no air suspension, more often 2wd than 4wd I think.
TROGDOR!
Let's see here... things a DL does NOT have: -4WD -Power windows -Power mirrors -Power locks -Air conditioning -A BACK SEAT -A passenger side mirror -Air suspension -Rear speakers -Tape deck -Height adjustable drivers seat -Lumbar adjustment on drivers seat -Upholstered door panels -Vanity mirrors -Locking glove box -Telescopic steering wheel I think that's about it. For a Subaru DL it's pretty loaded though. It has: -Reading lights -Tilt wheel -Full set of gauges -Power steering -Intermittent wipers All things that my old DL station wagon didn't have. RedLance
I remember looking at a DL when I was like, 12 years old. They just have a plastic parcel shelf back there, instead of a seat. It clearly states that no one is to ride back there. But as far as I can remember, the area is the same size as on the GL or GL-10, they just didn't bother to put in the seat cushions.
