Recommended Posts

ok so i bought this wagon with weber conversion done, the timing is way advanced, like its a tooth off on the disty, timing is around 30/40* and with the disty turned all the way i get around 10* but she will barily move then, the trans kickdown doesnt seem to work, and i dont think im getting into the second barrel of the carb, any ideas????????also i need a roof rack complete from a ea81 wagon, any out there..................also i need a cargo cover for a ea82 wagon in grey, i got a brown onew thats good but i need a grey one, any help.......

I posted on the marketplace about wanting a cargo cover and got a response from someone that had a grey one, but I would perfer a brown one - interested in selling your brown one? Someone else responded to me that they had a brown one, but when I messaged them that I was interested, they never got back to me the full price with shipping so I could send them a money order (they didn't have paypal). So, I'm still looking for a brown one :D

I didn't save the username of the person with the grey one, but I bet if you post in the marketplace (and try to keep it on the first page), you will get a response.

Dieseling is aggravated by timing too far advanced, idle speed too high, fuel quality low, and overheating. Carbon deposits and worn spark plugs don't help either (if the side electrodes are severely worn, they overheat and provide a source of ignition).

Any progress on that video? I'm eager.

if you have a hitachi carb, check the big hex bolt thingy sticking off the front of the top of the carb (with a black wire coming out of it) it shuts off the fuel/air (?) supply when you turn off the ignition.. if it goes bad, your car will either, not run at all.. (if the wire breaks) or.. it will desiel (if its broke internally)

at least thats what I can remember that thingy doing for the engine.. worth a check!

I think I have a chrome roof rack, its all 1 piece right now but would have to be disassembled to ship it to you. Its not the one with adjustable/removable crossbars they are all built in. $7, cost is only my hassle in pack/ship part is free and shipping is actual cost. Let me know.

and a grey cargo cover for a ea82 wagon, any help out there

I have a heavy duty roof rack for an 1982 wagon that I am getting ready to part out. It clamps around the rain gutters. I used it to haul about 100 pounds of pipe and it did well. Would it fit yours?
