anyone ever read thier emmisions tag under thier hood?

mine says my wagon complies with 1986 model year new light truck standars,

 

now i have 2 light trucks, a yota and a soob, lol

Mine says it's a California-emissions compliant car. But the car was delivered to New York in 1996.

Yeah, my old '86 3-door said it was a light truck. I'm thinking of swapping the hood to my 92 because light trucks are allowed 30 inches of bumper height while cars are only allowed 20".

that would work, but the police use the VIN number to enforce those restrictions, so swapping the hood wouldn't get you anything

With this new fancy red turbo hood I put on there was the emissions sticker under there. That's where I learned FHI says to run 25deg BTDC for ignition timing for the EA82t that came in that car. This was off an '88 GL turbo wagon I think.

 

Also has the helpfull vacume diagram.... too bad I dont have that engine =P

And the police will stop you based upon what the car looks like, not what is under the hood!
