subegrl
I have a 2001 Forester with 116,000 miles. I would like to know how much getting my clutch replaced due to wear (same as when one gets new brake pads, is what I mean - nothing is wrong with my clutch at the moment) is going to cost. I'd just like to get an idea of how much it is going to be when I get it done, to start saving $$$ for it. Also is it something the dealer has to do or can any good mechanic do it? One more thing - my door lock on my passenger door no longer works. I guess not using a key in it over the years has ruined it. Is it repairable or do I need to get a new lock? Thanks for any and all help!
mattocs
It cost about $800 for a new clutch in my 95 Legacy. This was at a local shop. The dealer price might be more...but don't quote me on that.
Lesbaru
My 96 Legacy clutch was also about $800, and that was at the dealership. (awesome dealership in Lansing Michigan).
