I have a 93 gl justy that is not running right now because i burned up the ecvt tranny. But when it was running i took it rallying and it was doing really well for only a 3 clyinder. And i got really intereded in making it a rally mobile... I recently baught a hood scoop and an intake. I plan on doing a bunch of stuff to it, then (well as soon as possible) putting in the 5 speed transmisson. I work at a les schwab so i can get struts, and tires and all that. I JUST NEED A FEW IDEAS OF WHAT TO DO. Also i was tring to put in the intake, and i took out the air box, and there are a few sensors that im not too sure about. Because it ran without those sensors in the intake. Or does anyone know anything about putting a snorkel on a justy???? Just need some feedback of what to do.

Just do what you want with it. :brow: I mean there is no/very little after market parts for the justy, but it is fairly capable. I would definitely say put the five speed in it will make the car slightly faster, and it offers you push button four wheel drive. Do you live in OREGON?

Okay, I was to vague in my last statement I have to correct it. If I were you I would just build anything and everything for the car myself. For example, a snorkel buy some cheap tubing and make one, if you use metal have an exhaust shop bend it. If you use pvc, cut it to length put an elbow on it and fuse it together with pipe epoxy, just make sure to fit a filter on it. As for putting the tranny in it I would definitely do it, if it was cost effective. For example, $50 tranny do it, $400 tranny buy an EA82 with dual range and scrap the little suub. As for a lift kit if you live in Oregon, talk to me or mudrat I am sure either of us can fix you up with something..

Do a search for "turbo justy". Somebody put a turbo from an EA82T onto a FI justy engine a while back, and it apparently worked out quite well. More power than than the chassis could handle.

For rally use, three things will do more than any other mods.

1. Practice and improve your driving skills. This one's most important.

2. Get some GOOD tires for it. Traction is soooo important.

3. Lighten it up. Strip EVERYthing that is not absolutely necessary for making it go or keeping you in it.

I would rather rally my justy over anything else, it is very nimble handleing and all the roads feel like there much bigger. If you want to wheel it put a skidplate on the front, take the swaybars off and advance the timing a bit and have fun. They are great cars for most everything. And yes the turbo power is incredible, and semi reliable.
