It's kind of an illussion, only the front and the side you see are finished, I'm going to try and get the other sides done today. I'm running a little behind, I was hoping to get the doors at least started. Had to do the cemetry visits yesterday, so I lost about half a day of work, but it was worth it. Dr. RX Posted June 12, 2005 Author Share Posted June 12, 2005 Well, someone is looking out for me, today I poured ther two ramps for my garage. Just as I finished covering the ramps with a tarps to protect them from the rain, and it started raining. I rented a cement mixer and bought a bunch of 80 pound bags of ready mix. In all I used 70 bags of cement, so that means I lifted 5600 (over 2 1/2 Tons) into the mixer. I can only imagine how much they weighed after the water was added. Dr. RX Posted July 11, 2005 Author Share Posted July 11, 2005 Well, I finally got power to the garage yesterday, well at least partial power. If any of you know about wiring a house, you'll know that the line coming into the house has 4 wires, a ground, a neutral and two hot (one black and one red). Well somewhere between the main breaker in the old garage and the panel in the new garage the black hot line is broken. Since it is spliced in two places (to go to waterproof cable for underground conduit) it should be fairly easy to determine where it is. But for right now, I only have 110 in the garage. I need to clear out part of the old garage so that I can get at the air compressor and move it into the new one. There is quite a mess between the front of the old garage and the back of the garage where the compressor is. Dr. RX Posted July 14, 2005 Author Share Posted July 14, 2005 Well, I'm a little pissed, the electrical inspector showed up at the house yesterday unannouced, so no one came to the door (wife is a little hard of hearing and with the sewing machine going, probably didn't hear him). Today I'm calling him and asking why he didn't set up an appointed time like ever other inspector that I have dealt with. As for the first project, there are so many I don't know where to start. Last night I changed the wheels on my wifes car and noticed that the wrecked Legacy has rear disc brakes and the driveable one doesn't. I also noticed that the front discs are SMALL. Looks like I'm going to have to put my spare set of JDM WRX brakes on the Legacy. Both the Legacy and the WRX need to be painted and some minor body repairs made. The WRX will be gettting a DCCD and a rear window wiper by the next show, with those items the transformation into a STi Type R will be complete.
