woody
Hello , my name is woody and I have a 90 loyale with 190k miles , 5 spd, 4wd, and some strange problems. It has a check engine light with a 24 code - air control valve. So I got a junk yard idle air control valve and put it in , it still has the code , and stalls in the morning if I don't put my foot on the gas to keep it running , but if the weathers warm it doesn't have the code and runs ok -- I raised the idle to keep it from stalling. I also checked the new air control valve and the old one wtih the tests from the haynes manual , and they both test good Also the light is on showing the rear doors are open , but there closed and if I hold the door sensor with my hand it still shows the doors are ajar, --------any ideas----------woody
85Sub4WD
you probably just have a blip in the computer - pull the battery cable off (engine off) wait 10 minutes, and put it back on the door ajar problem sounds like a bad ground/switch to me - check them with a multimeter and you should be golden! Good Luck!
