Mi Burro es Su Burro
I just bought a 1983 GL Wagon in an effort to save some fuel $. I gave $500 for it. It has 204,000 miles and runs GREAT!. It passed the smog test with no problem. My first tank (most over 70 MPH) I got 27 MPG. This is a vast improvement over the gas hog truck I had been driving. It has power windows, power mirrors, sun roof, AM/FM cassette, cruise control, and a 5 speed trans. The only major problem is the A/C compressor is out. Anybody got a good used compressor? Thanks, looking forward to hearing from you.
calebz
Welcome to the board. Sounds like you got a kickass little car. Wagons are the only way to go. In the search for your compressor, Its good to know that on many years, subaru used more than one AC style and compressor model. The Gen 2 people here could fill you in on the specifics. Also, If you are looking for a part, or have a part to sell, check our marketplace. Thats where it all happens. theres tons of good stuff in there. erik litchy
you prabably want to change the dryer and maybe the orifice because when compressors go out they tend to send metal shavings throughout the system,.
