subaru_styles
ok so aside from squezing the clips from behind or "inside" of the car.. is there any tricks to remove trim (without damaging it) from the outside ?
Forkspear
I have always had to squeeze the clips from the inside. The only way I can think of from the outside is to pull it back and breaks the clips with a screwdriver or something.
85Sub4WD
it has been at while since I did it, but I think the way I did it was to rock the trim gently up and down, and "walk" it out - I can't remember for sure how I did it, I just remember that I did (I currently have that fender on my car, and I pulled the trim off first in the JY, and it is intact in my garage (somewhere)) - I'd at least give it a try
MorganM
Grab an end and pull... I took all that junk off when I went to paint it. Didnt ruin anything but the trim itself. The plastic clips are weaker than the sheet metal Just take it easy and dont pull super hard or anything. Just pop them out one at a time as you peel it up off the unibody. Least that's what I did. garner
styles, I bought a cheap set of "trim removal" tools from harbor fr8. they work like a charm but you need to put some tape on one side so as to not scratch da paint.... garner
