The latest in my collection. It will be restored. It will NOT be for sale. Someone will get it only by prying it from my dead clammy grasp:

This was EZap's latest BRAT project - I'm taking it over. Thanks Eric!!

Oh - and I'm going to need a name for it. Anyone have any ideas? I was thinking "Izod", But I'm not sure I'm happy with it.

Hey, i recognized that rust spot!

i went for a ride in that, over at zaps fixing my ride!

and i dont want to hear about the rust, because that brat is MINT where i come from.

I think it would make a good spray bomb project!

Maybe "TrashBrat" but its your ride, not mine. how about "General (noun/verb/adjective)"

of course if you take the first idea, you'll have to keep it true to the ' Wagon!

is there anything specific about the brat you can derive a name from? or maybe a "theme" you might have?

And I thought my brat was crude :rollin:

It shows ALOT of promise though... get that door and fender fixed (both front and rear on drivers side) and you have a gem :D

Fender is easy - simply replace from any Gen 2 car. BTW - anyone got a blue fender... any fender? - I'll be painting anyways. I already have a hood for it. My uncle is a body man, so we'll see about that rear quarter. The door is actually perfect - just a little surface rust - some sanding will take it off.

And the best part - NO RUST - that little bit on the fender and such can't even be called real rust - it comes off with 300 grit.

I have the tailgate too:

Heck - I don't have clue what their worth - I paid like $75 for my seats - so like.... $25? Am I way out of line? Are you saying your taking them out of your BRAT? You don't want Jump Seats in your BRAT? Do you have the seat bracket assembly? I need that too....

Read the e-mail... $25 seems appropriate really... $10 would probably be too little, $50 would be too much... when you see my rust you will FULLY understand why I wouldnt trust putting friends back there... besides... Zap and I are bobbing the tail....

DAMN THE RUST! Ok - deal - nice early Gen 2 BTW. Definately an off-road project tho - too rusty to restore to original. Well - you could probably do it, but it would be easier to find a less rusty one - they aren't that rare yet. I've never seen that DL grill on a GL with the T-tops - is that original? Or do you just like the two headlight get-up?

If you want - not sure how hard it would be, but I have a turbo wagon sitting here that I'm fixing for a friend - it has the four headlight front end - good shape. You should swap front ends with it. Unless you like the two-light setup..... wanna trade for the headrests? heh.

I am actually gonna sell (or give away the grill on it... I have a 3rd eye grill stashed behind the seats, and I already bought a 3rd eye from andrew... this WAS a parts rig before I rescued it.... the switch and wiring is there, but the eye itself is gone....)

No swap... I am keeping the lights as is (I already have a new set if signals for it too (one is cracked)

The seats are gonna be given away for free... for having 139K on them they SUCK!... good thing I got the free legacy seats... I will probably be available to come by sometime this weekend (the day I am NOT at robs with the sawzall getting the fresh sheet metal)

looking at your brat... we MAY need to dremel out the bottom mounts for the headrests (fine with me) off of my brat

Ah - third eye - I should have known. Yeah - this weekend sounds good to me. I need to go up there and get that tranny too.... we workin on the same car up there?

And - I have a dremel !! Yeah - I noticed that mine are gone - can't quite figure that out. Looks like the welds were broken out - but there's no rust so.... what the hell? Maybe yours will come off easily too.

The way my brat is CURRENTLY crumbling (before restoration) the headrests will come off with a toddler tugging on them :rollin:

I'm flexible - in fact - I emailed him and asked the very same thing. If he could take care of both of us in one swoop, I would think that would be prefereable....

Might as well drive seperate rigs - that way you don't have to make room for a large, heavy automatic in yours. More room for parts that way.

That would be fine with me... but if you ever looked at my carpet in my car.... its already black... a little more tranny fluid wouldnt hurt

Woo hoo I just hit 1500 on my global account... combined with my local account = like 2750 or so... too bad it will all be gone tomorrow :(

Hmmm any chance you got a sawzall and blades general???? (sorry I forget your name off the top of my head... beer doesnt help either  )

I will probably borrow one (buy blades) and bring afew extension cords... but I am just checking...

I'm going to put some plywood down, and hual it in the BRAT. Just so I can drive it. I love that car - and the looks it gets - even in it's delapidated state. I could drive any of the three vans I have at my disposal, or one of my wagons, but the BRAT is just cooler. One should never haul soob parts in anything but a soob, and what better soob to hual with than one that was made for it?

What kind of car are we pulling parts off anyway? Would it have a drivers side fender? Or is that spoken for?

I do actually have a sawzall - mean mother too - big, bad milwaukie job. Got some blades - but mostly for wood. You probably should get some for metal - maybe several.

ya I plan to have quite afew... I need alot of parts... most of the firewall, the part of the drivers A pillar where the hinges mount, and 2 door sills... maybe more....

I assume it uses the typical sawzall blades?
