suburpy
Just bought a 81 wagon to do up. Needs both front axles replaced, but the key tool for the mag lock nuts has burred and wont undo the lock nuts. Have drenched the nuts in the Southern hempisphere supply of CRC/ WD-40. Tried banging an old socket and undoing them, just broke the socket! Tried cold chisel to move them but will no budge. What now - cant remove the axles without removing wheels. Any Ideas
Sweet82
A grinder might work well??? Give me two minutes with a grinder and I'll get them lug nuts off. Prolly won't be reusable but it will still be fun!!! Don't take no for an answer Glenn 82 SubaruHummer 01 Forester

Ozsubie
Maybe a big pair of Vice Grips?? I think that what those locking plier things are called?
ShawnW
an impact/air Chattergun ought to do it. Split the thing up the side. Might cost you a lug stud on each one but they arent hard to press in.
WoodsWagon
I used a oxy/acy welder to melt and put 6 points on one of those lock nuts. Then pounded a 6point impact sokt on to it and removed with a breaker bar. the nuts were trash, but the stud was good.
