moosens
THAT'S MY BOY!!!!! His dad and I are just about the same character,so I'm his second dad......or mean older brother.....or warped uncle Bubba, all depends on the situation. Andrew and his dad indeed deserve much honor.I've got a six star medal for each of them. Looking to hear from the boys to make sure they made it back OK... Skip
well had a very hard time getting fire in her hole this morn after some investigative research under the bonnet they were very lucky to make it. The ignition points had closed down (rub block wear due to lube pad not touching) to less than 0.002"!! Did a little burnishing and reset (by eye!!) to 0.018" (Well not quite my "eye" set them to 0.019") Touched the key to start and she fired so fast I barely had time to release it. "That's the way a Suby should start" I told myself. All tune up parts appear brand new, new alternator, new rad Finding the dip stick was a small challenge. I luv this baby Make date 12/77 BTW The muffler did not fall off, stud departed the head. Gasket she be toast. Will see what threads are left, may oversize and retap. Gonna check NAPA for a "close enough" gasket.
