SakoTGrimes
Yep. I'm pissed. Some scumbag opened up my car and took it. Wasn't an expensive unit but it sounded pretty good. At least they didn't destroy any locks or windows, and they left the CDs, cash and my licence and debit card. I'll be buying the Pioneer from my old Merc to put in it. And of course, the faceplate will travel with ME from now on.Grrrrrrrrr
SuBrat84
Same thing happened to me in hawaii once... they broke in took the deck and all the cds. Left $75 cash in the glove box.. digital camera's laying around, in line skates in the back... all kinds of loot. These guys are "pros" .. they slim jim your car, take your deck, and book it. 3 minute operation. Sorry to hear your loss. Yep. I'm pissed. Some scumbag opened up my car and took it. TheSubaruJunkie
Someone broke into my RX and got my CD player and my CD's. Sucked but I wasnt upset. It gave me a reason to upgrade. I hope i dont get hit again, cause this deck is 2000x better than my old. After it happend I realised how upset I really would have been if I had to duct tape a plastic bag over my window. Thats primarily why I dont lock my car at night anylonger. -Brian
karinvail
This is one HUGE reason I am not fond of getting a new car and/or expensive stereo. I don't trust it won't get stolen. I don't lock my car either - if they want to get into it, locking it isn't going to help and it will only get your windows broken, etc. My ''insurance'' is driving an old car with an old system that doesn't attract anybody's attention. Do you guys get those kids that walk around checking door handles to see which cars are unlocked to steal change/loose stuff? I always lock all my rides I've only ever been broken into once and it was slim jimmed. No damage. Just the loss of my stereo and cds.

myfinalcoffinx
I woke up to my car a couple years back to find it sitting up on blocks with the brand new alloy wheels gone. I don't know what they were thinking, it would be my guess that the 4 lug configuration isn't that common...

Nope, don't think I've ever seen that - but if you don't have anything in your car to steal, then it doesn't matter either way
mtsmiths
Living in Hawaii for twenty years breakin's were de rigeure. Every car we owned was broken into at least once. Every bicycle I ever owned in the state was stolen, and three out of my four surfboards. Oh, and then there was the Toyota pick-up, found in the macadamia orchards two weeks later stripped. Hell we even had one of the cylinders stolen off our airplane engine while it was tied down at Honolulu Intl. Talk about pre-flight inspection shock! Live Aloha? SakoTGrimes
I'm now thinking: 2,000,000 SHU law enforcment strength pepper spray, string, doors. Use your imagination.
