cracker39
I'm a new forum member with a 1993 Subaru LSI Legacy wagon with only 73,000 miles on the odometer. We purchased the wagon new and it is basically in excellent condition. We recently lost, or misplaced, one of our electronic security system key fobs. When I contacted Subaru they informed me that they no longer provide accessory parts for a 1993 Subaru and that they could not help me to find a replacement. We have one working key fob - and the security system is, like the rest of the car, in excellent working condition. Can anyone help me locate a replacement transmitter? I know that the system could be disabled if we had to do so - but why would I want to??? Incidentally, this is not the first time Subaru has told me, in no uncertain terms, that they no longer support a 1993 vehicle - nor do they expect any of their dealers to do so! I've had much better luck getting parts for my '31 Model A Ford, or 1966 Buick Special. Hopefully, with the help of this forum I'll be able to continue enjoying my Subaru for many years to come - in spite of the lack of interest shown by Subaru of America.
