lagwagon
The local second hand suby dealer Barrett. A super cool guy. Has been ralling for a while and has a cool wedsite if ya want to check it out http://www.allwheelsdriven.net He said he has a ej 1.8 that I could swap with my ea82. Does anyone have some input on that swap? Do you need a new ECU?
calebz
You will need the ECU, complete wiring harness and either the EJ transmission or an adapter plate to mate the EJ motor to the EA tranny.

I was particularly surprised to see that they will be making a rally car available for rent next year!!?? Man I know how I drive normal rental cars on the road, I can't imagine what I might do if i got it on a rally course!! That poor GTI is going to be so dead by the end of the season.
