brus brother
93 Legacy Airbag light stays on. Not interested in any costly repairs. I don't think the bag ever deployed but the car is fairly rusted through and dented so I don't know if one or more sensors are damaged. How can I test for defect or at least turn off or remove the light on the dash. It's just a continuous reminder that I'm not driving a 2005 Mercedes

If it comes back on that means there is a code in the computer. I don't think there is a self diagnostic for the airbag system but could be wrong. Why do you mean it is a reminder taht you're not driving a 05 Mercedes... because you only have 1 light on? Mercedes have definately taken a downward spiral in recent years. Heck, Jag has been getting better reliablity reports the past couple years and the arrogance of the dealerships isn't helping matters much from what I've heard from most lifetime Mercedes owners I know.
