myfinalcoffinx
Now I know some of the differences, like dual range tranny, but I'm curious as to what else the difference between the GLs and the DLs are. 4wd and 2wd. Also does anyone know what GL and DL stand for?

Sweet82
As far as I know GL and DL don't stand for anything. They are just simply trim packages available on the early 80's Subarus. DL is basicly stripped, the GL is the one with the toys. Some variants exist too. The GLF was a top of the line GL for a few years in the sedans? The GLF was functionally replaced by the GL-10 (which usually had every possible option). I have never heard of the GL-10 being available in the Hatch body style. http://www.usmb.net/gallery/album15 The brochures will tell you more. NorthWet
The "standard" definitions for DL and GL (not necessarily Subaru's) is DeLuxe and GrandLuxe.
