worth fixing

Recommended Posts

ok here is the add,

Selling my 1987 Subaru GL wagon because I am not mechanically inclined. However this is a great deal for anyone who is. This 4 dr hatchback has a strong 5 speed transmission; 180,000 miles; 4x4; new timing belt; new brakes; good tags til Nov. 2005.

What it needs is a driver's side front haftshaft because it is locked in the 4x4 mode; engine needs to be timed and possibly a coil wire. The car can be driven as is but doesnt hold an idle very well. I was told it would take about $75 for parts and a decent mechanic about 2 hours to fix everything.

would this be worth fixing?
