konrad/soo
i got a '92 legacy wagon, awd 5spd man, 157 000 miles. i got it for 400$, some rust. i got it running today after 8 months. the problem is that the fuel line comming out from the fuel pump is roted out, and its leaking gas like hell :-\ , i've called a shop and they want 400-500$ just for the job, i'm thinking of getting another legacy, because this one has like 2500$ in parts (last year). so i need advice,...... thanks and take care
Legacy777
Is the hardline rusted out? Or is it the rubber lines that are rotted? You could probably get the metal lines from another car at a junkyard pretty cheap, but unless you do the labor yourself, it's going to still be a bit of money. brus brother
On my 90 Loyale, what rusted out were these little fuel "dampers" that are about the size of a stack of three quarters kinda shaped like a small round ravioli. Get rid of the bugger, splice in a piece of rubber gas line hose and say so long troubles.
konrad/soo
yeah, those are the metal ones:( i was thinking of putting a rubber hose on the metal one but theres not much space to do that... what im thinking about is to take an angle grinder and just cut out some metal underneath the seets, and take it from there, or fliping the car on a side and then pull out the gas tank,... what to you think about that?? thanks and take care
