samo
Stereo's gone, tools are gone. At least they left the car this time. Once again, my car has been violated. Looks like a pretty quick job, as my CDs are all still there. Cops are on the way. I hate Seattle.

northguy
The city is fine, it's just some of the people who are lowlifes. I leave the keys in my Brat at my house. I also have a full compliment of firearms readily available.

Could you run a loud siren from Radio Shack off the 12v that feeds your overhad light? That way when the car door opens the siren goes off. Sort of a budget car alarm. - James B
spanky_pete
That sucks man, it's more the people than the city. It can and will happen no matter where you live. We had someone steal the trim from around the windshield on our old Caprice when we lived in Burien. It couldn't have been more than a 2 dollar part, and I'm sure they f'd it up pulling it off. Hope the cops can help you out.
samo
Might i reccomend not leaving valuables in your car? I don't keep valuables in there, just a basic toolset for fixing the car on the road and some spare parts. Luckily, I hadn't yet found the time to put all my Diamond Audio gear into the car. Don't think all that stuff will be making its way into the car. I'm thinking of ways to help keep this from happening again. Unfortunately, no one really pays any attention to car alarms anymore, and even if I had one, I wouldn't have been able to hear it from my apartment. Oh well.
