eddygordouk
I was wondering what a good size wheel and tire choice would be for an RX, i want to have it be at a lower riding high due to suspension modification and lookin at how the 13b transplant RX ride hight, hes runnin on 13"s i believe. I would be intrested in perhapes 14x6's and do you think a 205/60/14 could fit in? or maybe even 215/60/14? I would have the fender above the tires and not try to fit the tires in the fender so to say. Does anyone have experience with this? Even with Xt/XT6's? subyrally
i have 205/50/15 tires on my rx, granted i need to get fender flairs to cover the tires. they stick out about an ince in the front and a little less in the rear. i have em on 15" alloy pugs, which explains the offset and the tires sticking out on the sides. but it looks good and handles great. and 205/50/15 is just about the same as the stock tires in terms of diameter, just wider and lower profile. if you want to find out what will fir, check this out. http://www.eunos.com/tirecalc/tirecalcold.html peace tim

I was really intrested in runnin on 14"s so i could have a lower ride height but still not worry about cutting into my tires, but my choices of breaks is nill it seems now if i upgrade. I read that Baer Inc. makes a kit with 11" diameter that can fit 14"s so i was wondering, could that work? I really want to do that with some 14x6 superlights. Should i jus move one up to 15"x6 superlights? Seems it might be easier but i dont want to cut into the fender an all. I basically want a ride height of this porportion :
carfreak85
Realize that the RX in that picture IS sitting on grass which makes it look much lower than it really is.
subaru_styles
i was running a 205 40 17 on a 48mm offset rim, no problems
subyrally
styles, your ride still amazes me eddy, your rx looks sweet with the black 13's on it. ill see if i cant find a good pic of my rx with the pugs on it.
calebz
I'm running 205/55/16 on my wagon. 16x7 Konigs There was a little bit of rubbing, but rolling the rear fender lips took care of that. Overall ride height is about 2 inches lower than stock. But thats due to my springs.. The outside diameter of my tires is about the same as the 185/80/14s I had on before. Oh yeah.. my offset is 40mm.. Styles runs 48. . Pugs are 20 IIRC and stock is closer to 50 (53 I think on the newer soobs)
TheSubaruJunkie
With your 4 lug eddy your options are pretty limited. You could swap to 5 lug and do what Styles is doing, but if you want quick and easy I'd say find a set of pug rims. They are Peugeot and are pretty much the only manufacturer who uses the same lug pattern as our RX's. Im running 195/50R15's on my RX, but a set of 195/50 or 55/14's would be nice and fit well on the car. I might even know where a set of 14" pug alloys might be -Brian

I basically want a ride height of this porportion : I think I need to say some things about that car as it is mine now. it really is that low, the rims are stock wagon wheels, with 205/60/13s and you really don't, that thing caught when I rolled it down my driveway when I first got it. it sucks to drive a low car. Ill have it at a lower height than stock but not too low that it scrapes even pebbles. I think ill have it lowerd around 1-2 max from stock height, ill decide when the time comes. My goal is to have 205/50-55/15 size tires on a decent size 15 inch wheel that can house future wrx front and rear stock brake set.
