Vegablade
a push button 4wd is a orange button in the middle of the shifter that when pressed engages the 4wd. i have it on my wagon, works pretty good but if you want some serious off roading get the Dual Range.( i would show you some pics but i dont have any good ones, look in the photo gallery)
Turbone
I have a 86 GL-10 Turbo Wagon with the pushbutton single range 4wd. Its a good hiway/daily driver car, have never had any problems with the tranny.
MilesFox
one thing about this car is if you swap in a full time transmission with diff lock, the mechanism is the same for the pushbutton and the diff lock, so with a full time tranny swapped into this car the 4wd button will lock the diff. jxavierf
Question: I also have an automatic with push 4wd......wouldn't this be considered Tri-Range 4wd being that you can have 4wd while in "D" Drive, "2" gear, and "1" gear? I've always wondered if this is the same as with the "Hi & Lo" with the manuals, but the auto's have an extra low with the "1" gear..............
