NoahDL88
Has anyone ever ran a subie engine on a test stand? I'm thinking that it would be easier to get the EA-81 franken motor running better and not pissing oil if i had better acess to its parts. My only worry would be to start it, i'm sure with spacers i could mount the starter, that and the exhaust, it would be loud with just the header
Ratty2Austin
i was thinking of building a stand at one time, using a xmember, and a turbo crossover pipe with a muffler can on the end of it as a short exhaust... it could work.. use a old tranny that has a working neutral gear for your starter mount.... habib99
I'm planning on starting my EA82T on the bench but dont know how to handle the three fuel pipes - not enrtirely sure where they go (one return, one from the pump but ???the third!) I have the starter on a cut up old tranny bell, works well exhaust -patching together a make shift short piece as you've suggested. all in all a good idea I think especially if you're like to use the setup more than once.
