Meeky Moose
guess this is pretty rare since i have never seen one before.. ya know that little spot to the left of the steering column on the dash that has a rectangular dummy plate over it? well i was walking through the junk yard, found an 85' EA82 4wd wagon.. so i look inside and what do i see? a factory foglight switch where that dummy plate goes.. (woohoo) so i snagged it of course.. there were no factory fog lights on the car though.. and looking at where the switch plugged into i think my car has the wiring for it.. need to go make sure but i do recall those 3 plugs in there that aren't hooked to anything.. thesubeguy
nice find. i was lucky and had stock fog lights on my rx, but the switch is now hooked up to my hellas up front. too bad it didn't have fogs cause that would be sweet
Sweet82
Nice score, Some times it's the little touches that make a car nice!
Numbchux
yep, my '85 had that 'switch' but I gave it up for matching toggle switches on the dummy plate under my stereo (I have 3 sets of lights wired, and none of them stock). besides, I wanted something that wasn't wired into the high beams or ignition, if the switch is on, the lights are on! soobscript
So you are keeping it right? (I was afraid of that.)
MorganM
That's where I put my fan switch. Makes for a nice clean install since you can pop out the little plastic plate, drill a hole, and run the wires in the dash.
All_talk
Must be pretty rare, I've never seen it, or factory fogs on an EA82 car. I used that plate (actually a spare black one) to mount the buttons for the cruise control I put in my RX. Gary

You better look at that soon and check it out, at 5000rpm I'm pumping around 50-55psi of oil pressure.....

Looks like he just rolled 300,000 miles. You don't get to that kinda mileage on lousy oil pressure.
Turbone
Very incriminating evidence, look at the speedo On my 86 T-Wagon the square plate to the right of the CC switches (my rear gate lock/unlock switch) is where the factory foglight switch is. Its almost like the old EA81 Centerlight switch, except its orange.
All_talk
Yeah, the sender is goofy, I've checked it with a mechanical gauge and the pressure is fine. Runs about 45psi @ 3500rpm. All_talk
Very incriminating evidence, look at the speedo I had to get the needle clear of the odometer didn't I :-p. I wanted to snap the pic a 100mph but there was a curve coming up... safety frist you know. Gary
jeffast
looks just like the fog light switch in the center colum (failed englishe) of my xt6
