This is the rock crawler that has the modified Subaru STi motor in it.

These came from the UROC competition in St. George last weekend.

There was much talk of the motor in the crowds.

I was suprised how many people were aware it was a Subaru.

I never got a close shot of the motor and was never able to talk with the guy.

I do have some video of it in action and it seems like a capable rig.

on spike tv there's a show called extreme 4x4,they were giving away something very similar to that except it didn't have any body panels.if i remember theirs were powered by a 170? hp honda or something engine.man that thing was sick.they showed it off by crawling up a wall, front tires were about four feet up the wall.

that was a Honda motor and fwd transmission turned 90deg and driveshafts run to the solid axles, It is a small personal rockcrawler you can buy(forget the company that makes it) They also make some other interesting vechicles.

These use Honda motors and are kind-of a ready made crawler.

Not a competitive crawler, Not good looking,

I'll pass

Just my .02
