TROGDOR!
So I found out I have a rust hole in my crossover pipe. I went to pull the one out of the parts car- unbolted it from the heads, unbolted it from the turbo, and found that it wouldn't slide out between the crossmember and the head. I ended up having to unbolt the passenger side motor mount and jack the engine up about an inch before getting it out. This was on a mostly dismantled parts car. My drivable RX is most definitely not dismantled, and I don't want to spend forever putting a small pipe on it if I don't need to. Any easier way of getting this pipe out? Turbone
Nope, no other way. How long did it take to remove the one bolt and jack the engine up :-p
WJM
i never had to do that....just ahve the front end jacked up about 2~3 ft up...and the RF tire off the car...and then you can rotate the header into the 'just so' position and it will slide right out. Ive done that countless times. a WRX on the otherhand...you do need to jack dat chit up to do the up-pipe.
