chef_tim
It's an automatic, with 141k on it. and it does have some disturbing symtoms. it runs great until you stop and idle. Then it gets hot. I'm going to start easy ie T-stat and a "burp" treatment. Then on to radiator and water pump if that doesn't fix it. It doesn't act like typical HG problems though. Yes it has heated seats and just about every other option except sun roof. 27's???? Why so small??? This one is going to be the tow vehicle for our pop-up camper. It will get an accelery trany cooler to help it along.

subynut
Oooo Pretty! My parents have one similar to that year. Man trans and red. One thing: You'll love the wide torque band of the EJ25. It ROCKS!
Turbone
Yup, thats a perty one  Hope you can get the bugs worked out. Enjoy!
ShawnW
Looks just like Joy's car. We love it. Bought hers with no engine, converted it to an EJ22 and never looked back. The car zips just as good as my dads did with the ej25 on a fresh rebuild so thats as close to an apples to apples comparison as it gets. I did put the delta cams in the 2.2 to even things up a bit. Cougar
Nice ride Tim. You may want to have a block check done to see if exhaust gases are getting into the coolant. It is cheap to have done.
Guest Vickaroo
Guys this one is Tims toy.... The Impreza is MINE!!!! With the OBW Tim can get under the hood and tinker tinker tinker all he wants.(NOT ON MINE!!) He is not even allowed to change the oil on mine... So We had to get him a kind of new one so he would keep his paws happy... LOL (You know how you guys like to tear things a part to see how they tick...) So now he is going to be one happy little camper!!! (get it happy camper cause thats why we got this was to pull the camper.) I dont know if I like it or not yet I havent driven it enough to decide just from the car lot to the house. As far as new gen and old school goes with us having 6 SUBBIES we are both.... Hank Roberts
didn't Crocodile Dundee do the commercials for the 1996 Outbacks? There's one of those cardboard cutouts standing in the waiting room of the local Berkeley (SOS Subaru) repair place. Want a photo of it? It's a little big to photocopy at Kinko's, unfortunately.
