Boddi
Hi all, when i buy my 2003 outback the front splas guard was missing. I go new one, but when I was put in on i discover at the rigth front wheel was 1.5 cm after that the left wheel was. So before i got this subaru something has happen, i think the right wheel has been hit hard for some way or another. I make a measurement on few point under the car, and find out that the crossmember was 1.5 cm after on the right side. My question is, how can i fix it ? is some type of passbolt use to keep it in place before you tighten the Crossmember to body? Hope you can help me. Legacy777
If the crossmember is bent, you could replace the crossmember with a new one. This is assuming the chassis has not been tweaked. I'd also probably check or replace the a-arm as well.
Boddi
I dont think it is bent or maybe it is. I have to mersurment it. Maybe the bolt that tighten the Crossmember to body is bent. I mesure from body hole to bolt end, the bolt end was 1.5 cm after on the right side and crossmember was it to.
Legacy777
Is the bolt positioning where the crossmember bolts to the chassis the same on both sides? If not, then the chassis is probably tweaked, and there's probably not much you can do. A frame pulling machine might make it a little better, but I doubt it'd be perfect.
