86subaru
i finally got around and looked at my 84 brat, marked timming ,set timming, , looked in side weber and the front parts ,looks to have oil down in side , what gives ? still having surging problem , but no back firing , did i mix up a vacuum line causing this? , also would the acell coil cause the surging problem , ? mcbrat
I've had surging issues before, and it was a matter of getting the following things right... timing idle mixture screw setting idle speed setting is this weber new, rebuilt, used? there should only be one vac fitting to worry about. from the weber to the disty.... 86subaru
new weber, but what about the oil in the weber ? i must have screwed something up ,thanks
mcbrat
do you have it hooked up to your PCV system? when I had a new weber, it came with a hole in the bottom plate, and a white fitting to tie into it... if you have that, you could be sucking oil in from the PCV system... TomRhere
Ifin I remember right Jim, it is plumbed into the PVC system. Kinda-sorta remember seeing it when I was down at your place and got the choke system hooked back up on it.
