Tom63050
Anyone know of a good Subaru shop in northern Virginia? Need to get my reman axles put on. Never done it myself and feel more comfortable letting a real mechanic do it (one who knows Subarus well, if at all possible). Meeky Moose perhaps? subyrally
if you have access to a lift, its not very hard, just undo the axle nut and the pins. from there i think it just slides out with a bit of wiggling back and forth.

I've seen mechanics do this job, and read the "how-to" posts on the Board, and it seems quite a bit more involved than you describe. Plus I don't have access to a lift. subyrally
the whole lack of a lift does make it hard. if you are wiloing to make it up to fredercik maryland, there is frederick motorsports, the owner, scott, has been working on subies since the 70's.. good work and honest prices. that and he is a really cool guy.
