FlyB0y
I found one of these in montana, I am going to try and buy it if I can, he wanted $2500, and I talked him down to about $2000, but I am just wondering if it is worth that much more than a regular brat of this vintage or if it is worth alot more with the cyclops ... it's not as clean as mine, but the body is pretty straight, just a few dents and dings here and there, but it's a GL, has 180k miles and just needs the seats recovered and a little paint to make it sharp. It runs great has pleanty of power and nothing appears to be wrong with the drive train. What's it worth?
SuBrat84
No rust and good mechanical working condition you're looking at least 2,000 anyway.. I love the "passing lamp" or "third eye" they were only used in 82. so yeah it is kinda rare.. If I had the extra 2k.. I'd buy it!
carfreak85
The 3rd eye is rare, but not rare enough to buy a car over. Plus they can be retrofitted to other cars like I did.
TheSubaruJunkie
Yeah, and they should be on 1981 and 1983 models (early '83 i believe). Its not that rare, and wouldnt make the value of the car any higher. A $2000 brat better be under 70k original miles and have no scratches or dings -Brian
Jibs
I've seen 3 or 4 in the yards around here, so they're not too rare down this way, and I wouldn't go out of my way to purchase a car JUST for the third eye, but if you feel inclined, I can't say anything. FlyB0y
Thanks guys, it's not that rare after all ... oh well, I can't afford $2k right now anyway ... need to get something for the "lift fund" so I can get my 27" coopers on
edrach
I've got an '82 Brat with the third eye as well as a spare. Blown headgasket and significant rust; first $250 takes it away.
