konrad/soo
on my '92 legacy EJ22,when i take sharp left or right turns, not even going fast(20 mph),theres a huge cloud of smoke behind me :-\ ,once i go straight its ok, and when i rev it up the blue(oil) cloud is up in the air and the car is burning lots of oil like 500 ml(pint?) per 200 miles, so thats not good, i've put in some " smoke reducer + stop leak" but it dosent work,.. i'll be taking the engine out, because i need to do the clutch, any ideas what i can change in the engine while its out?? take care
Midwst
Could possibly be oil dripping onto the exhaust. Crank the wheels and check it warm in park. If you think it's comming from inside the engine, a compression test will help you diagnose the problem, like bad rings.
ccrinc
PCV valve. Use Subaru Genuine only! Oh, and clean out the pcv hoses too. Emily http://www.ccrengines.com
Andyjo
oil pump could be loose, check the 4 screws in it. that happened to me, oil was dripping onto the headers. hmm.. if it happens when you only turn, power steering fluid (ATF) could be dripping onto your exhaust also.
