Lifted hatch Q's

I was looking thru some pictures of lifted hatchs to kinda get a idea of what I want todo to mine when I get it. When I noticed ALOT of the hatchs sit front heavy. Like the rear end will sit like 2 inchs higher then the front. What causes this the weight of the motor?

I think its the same as the Brat.. The torsion bars have been made to get more height on the back. If you set the front to full height and the back to full height you will see the prop shaft it straight. I think this is how they where intended to ride.

 

Most people get 4x3” lifts.. that means the life the front of the body 4” and the rear 3” so it levels it out without having soft suspension in the rear.

Just don't crank up the rear torsion bar and it will sit more level.

I personally like the "rake".

I agree with Zap. My hatch has a PKDavis 3/3" lift and I like how the car slants forward. However, would sitll love a 4/3" just for the extra clearence!
