dual round headlight conversion?

can the headlights from any of the older generation subarus fit on the newer ones such as the EA82 series?

 

take these headlights

 

and put them on this?

umm without a lot of major fabbing to the front end and some wiring work, the answer would be no. Just curious on why you'd want to do it?

i think it would look good, very much like the newer golfs and jettas that have the round headlights from the older VW's. it was just a thought.

Spending $5 for a new headlight instead of $20 for a used one every time a rock gets kicked up into your headlight??? Works for me, but I would probably go rectangular.
