jmr052
I had to get the rear trailing arm with the hubs because I had no way to keep it from spinning trying to get the axle nut off. I was looking at the rear of my car last night and it looks like it will bolt right up. So, does anyone know if the XT6 rear trailing arm will bolt up to my 89 TTW? Dr. RX
Yep, it will bolt to any EA82 rear suspension. But as for getting that rear axle bolt off, did you try putting a tire back on and lowering the car to the ground? Was it in a wrecking yard when you tried to take it off? If so, try to find a long rod to put between two of the wheel studs, then try taking the nut off.
TheSubaruJunkie
Either that, or put a 13" steel rim back on the car, take a breaker bar, prybar, any type of bar, and stick it through one of the slots on the rim, rotate the rim until the bar catches something and stops the wheel. Then you should be able to break the castle nut off. But since you have everything already, guess its pointless now Not sure if the XT6 arm fits your EA82. -Brian
Caboobaroo
yeah they'll fit but when you do the fronts, get the control arms with 14mm bolts instead of the 17mm bolts. The 17mm bolts will not bolt in but the 14mm will
jmr052
Since the rear arm will fit, I think I will keep it since it has the bracket for a sway bar and my wagon was bracketless. Is the control arm the flat piece or the round one that goes on top of the flat one via two bolt that point to the ground? And another question.... Do I need to get the end of the Steering arm, the piece with the bolt or will mine work? I found a two wheel drive at another yard and got the struts today. I think that I have everything, might try this over the weekend. Thanks, Jay
