Sweet82
Would it matter if the front fuel filter was mounted upside down (EA81) ? I found one that way, wondering if it's worth mounting right side up? Any ideas thoughts. Glenn 82 SubaruHummer 01 Forester XX XXXXXX to be announced.... beauregaardhooligan
I believe that one is called the vapor separator? It has 3 hose fittings? I don't really understand what it does or how it works, but the top line is a return to the tank according to the FSM so I'd imagine that being upside down might not let it work properly. I don't know whether that will make a difference in how it runs or not, but I don't think it would work the way it is intended.
Sweet82
This is the one I was questioning? I probably could have flipped it in the time I have been messing on the board... See below.
beauregaardhooligan
eyep, that's it. Does it run now? I'm guessing that when it is upside down it would let liquid gas run back to the tank.
Sweet82
Runs fine but seems wrong having it upside down.
dustyrider
It shouldnt matter. I know I had to turn my fuel filter upside down I may have the seperator like that as well. I could check but it will be like a week before i get to use the internet again.
decorrupter
I got that one on my hatch, just a thought, with the vapor gap on the top (as intended), it would let air that got through the system out of the line, like an automatic bleeder. Maybe thats its purpose?
