Since coming on this board we have done things I would have never dreamed of tackling ourselves. Who knew this would become such a rewarding hobby?! It makes me smile!

I will second your expressions of gratitude for this site. It helped me to fix my wife's "new" daily driver for a couple of bucks instead of the price of a new transmission, and has continued to give me information (and entertainment) since. It has embarked me on a great "adventure", during which I met a great many nice people. Thanks to all!

you don't want to know how much money I've saved by doing all the car work myself... having once payed close to $300 to swap an axle

 

My wife points out all the money we save each time we have to do something to one of the cars
