NoahDL88
I would imagine this question was answered when you were still in middle school, Bush was in office, and the 05 WRX was brand new Just sayin
Crazyeights
I've pulled a few EA81's out whole (flywheel removed or I can't quite do it), a couple EJ22's by removing the heads first, and an EJ25 the same way. I'm done - don't hurt yourself, it's not worth it. IMHO make sure you have enough help;)
hooziewhatsit
If you do use a come-along to the rafters, put a 2x6 perpendicular to the rafters and loop over that as well. Spread some weight to the nearby rafters. (wow, this was a necro-bump )
Suba_GL_87
tear-down timing belt, camshaft and head block. then you can removed bell-house's bolts before need your friends can pick up the EA82 cycle block. dont forget removed bolts from cross-member . also repair oil pan gasket. make a easier and less weight.
