hipmama
i am a newbe to this forum and what has inspired me to join is the thunking that i experience with my 99 legacy 5-speed when i have the wheel cranked all the way to the right or the left. its a thunking vibration comming from the tire area and only happens when i am making sharp turns such as entering a tight parking space. i had both front cv joints replaced yesterday and have the same problem happening. i heard the terms bad clutch pack and duty cycle solenoid causing torque bind...does this sound familiar to anyone? thanks!!!! SuBrat84
Sounds like torque bind the way you describe.. but I'm only familiar with it happening in Auto trannies... check to see what your gear oil looks like... maybe someone that is familiar with torque bind on a 5speed could help you out more.
