All_talk
Fast idle for cold start or A/C? The cold start screw sits on the choke cam (note: it should not touch the cam once fully warmed up). Not sure about the fast idle for the A/C, I've never had a Carbed Sube with A/C, but I'd bet its a solenoid. Gary
Camelwagon
Fast idle for cold starts. So can you adjust it? Right now it doesnt idle too high at all when i start it cold. Thanks...
archemitis
you need to adjust your choke. not fast idle screw.
Camelwagon
How do i do that??? That cam next to it?
All_talk
You should check the choke operation and adjustment too, but yes you can adjust the fast idle. The screw should rest against the stepped cam on the choke shaft while the choke is active, the position of the step cam can be adjusted by bending the link to the choke, but you shouldn't need to change that. But be sure that once the choke is fully open that the fast idle screw does not touch the cam so that the normal idle screw can control the throttle opening. I've had best luck adjusting chokes by making small adjustments daily and checking operation on the next mornings first cold start. And I've also found that a good winter setting may not work so well in the summer, making seasonal adjustments necessary for best performance. Indrid cold
I lifted my tire out, look from the back side of carb, towards bottom of all the linkages...it is a slot screw I believe. As prior post above I turned little incraments at each day. I did a tune up and found my Fast idle needed to be slightly adjusted. I overajusted at first and did did the little each day and verified the next morning from a cold start. hope this helps. my .02cent. "Noob with a wrench." ....edit.... Ooops...noob mistake, dif. carbs from what you have... never mind.
