Rear anti-sway bar

Recommended Posts

I found a RX in the junkyard today, and grabbed the LSD. It's a different ratio than my GL-10 diff, but I'm sure I can find a home for it.

The RX had a rear anti-sway bar. Anybody know if this will fit my GL-10 wagon? It looks like I'd have to do a bit of welding to attach it to the control arms, but that's no problem. It's a pretty skinny bar - is it worth my time?

well if your GL-10 is a turbo, then the rear diff should be the same ratio (3.70) compared to the non turbo diff which are 3.90.

As for the rear swaybar, yes it will fit with no mods at all, plus since its larger, it will make your wagon handle better in turns

Ummm. not sure about that Caboobaroo

I have ONLY seen one GL-10 that had the tab mounts for the rear sway bar. If you have the mounting tabs then yes it is a direct bolt on. I had to take off the rear passenger tire to get my bar on though.

Since I didn't have the mounting tabs I had to use the trailing arms from an RX. The only other way is to weld the tabs on.

I totally agree the sway bar will make it handle better. Less body roll.

I agree.. I have only seen one GL-10 with the rear bar as well.. Thankfully, I happen to own that one:D

Use the RX trailing arms and it becomes a bolt on accessory
