reklawyad
Here's one that I'm not sure how to fix or even how to tell the dealership to look at. When I'm driving my RS 2.5 manual shift down the road, if I am in First or Second gear it's fine, but some of the times that I'm in 3rd-5th gear and I go to acceleration, the engine will rev, but will get VERY VERY slow acceleration. I only started noticing this problem right before I took it in for an O2 Sensor replacement and a Catalytic Converter replacement as well. Usually I'll be going at lets say 30-35 MPH shift into 3rd, and it seems to hesitate a bunch. Wanted to see what I might try replacing or fixing on it to see. Thanks. kevinsUBARU
How many miles? Is the check engine light on? Do you have any idea on the condition of your clutch? How long has this been happening? It would seem that MAYBE your clutch could be on its way out.

Does downshifting hurt your clutch? or what would hurt your clutch? Ken
nipper
Sounds like your clutch is slipping. Eventually it will happen to all gears. Tell the dealership you think your clutch is slipping in 3rd 4th 5th. This can be caused by a worn clutch or a leaking rear main seal. nipper

What can kill a clutch quickly is riding or resting your foot on the clutch pedal while in gear. nipper
