Ummmmm we arent rebuilding the motor:grin: from the talk they are just going to pop out my motor to make some stuff easier (clutch) . I dont need to do anything with my heads...I do not have a head gasket leak..Buckys motor is good and strong..ticks alittle but not bad enough to worry about anything with my HLAs..Also water pump is good why fix it (plus I have a spare or 2 lying around). plugs cap rotor....all dont about 2 months ago Now the tensioners..thats what I was trying to remember Thanks
subeman90
there was some guy selling a t-belt set and tensioners on ebay as a package...might want to take a min and look on there. I believe it was $64.
edrach
Only reason to replace the water pump is to avoid the cost of labor in doing it later. My rule of thumb on the EA82s has been to do the timing belts every 60K miles and the water pump every other timing belt change since the water pump is not likely to last 180K miles. Definitely change the tensioners too. While I'm at it, I definitely recommend www.1stsubaruparts.com; best prices around for genuine Subaru parts. Easier to call their 800# and ask for Jason in parts rather than negotiating the website. Good luck with the repairs.
