erikvr
In the past six months, I have gone through 2 radiators on my 85 GL. Make that 3 radiators as of today. Any ideas what is up??? The fan seems to work fine, which is the only other problem I can think of that would cause this problem.

erikvr
Explain "going through". Like, whats happening to them? they crack down the middle. Little crack but enough to leak like a son of a gun. Today, I got home in time to see a bucket of steam under the hood. Haven't examined it yet as it is dark outside, but those hoses are new. rallyrx
could just have bad luck or you could have too high of a presure in your cooling system
Turbone
It might be a good idea to get a new rad cap.
Snowman
It might be a good idea to get a new rad cap. Ditto. It's odd that it wouldn't leak from the hoses or something first, but stranger things have happened.
Numbchux
are these 'new' radiators? or junkyard ones?
edrach
Any chance that your car was in an accident and the front crossmember isn't straight any longer? There should be no mechanical pressure on the rad to cause that type of failure. I'd try the radiator cap also and don't overfill with coolent.
