Spark issues

So as many of you already know, I have had a bad fuel problem for a while. Missing and blowing black smoke, well I finally tracked it down to the ignition.

The spark is cutting out at full boost, and missing. Now all of my major sensors are new, as is the entire ignitioin componets group(coil, wires, plugs etc.), and the timing is at about 22. New timing belts, and I checked to make shure they didnt jump.

What I found was the hot wire going to my coil is only putting about 2 volts to the coil. How many is it supposed to get? 12 I am thinking. I am thinking that little rectafier thing under the coil is bad and is restricting the voltage going to my coil. Does that sound right?

Could there be anything else cutting out my spark at full boost?

87 ea82t wagon stock boost for now.

Normally there is a resistor in line with the power lead to the coil. On start up, the resistor is bypassed to allow full voltage to the coil. During the run cycle the voltage should be around 10 volts to the coil I think, though I have not measured it. You definately have a problem if you only have 2 volts to the coil and either have a bad connection or a bad resistor. Check the other side of the resistor and see what the voltage is there. It should be 12 volts. If not, look for a connection problem up stream.
