Subarutex
So, today I was browsing my works wonderful broadband connection (after our last slow "hiccup" I got Verizon out here to fix it... we are now running 3x our fastest since we got DSL a year ago) I was looking for a good picture of the Brat targa stripe, as I'd like to reproduce my own since my Brat has been repainted. I stumbled across what I presume is a Japanese site, but I could be wrong. Here are the pictures: I really love this rollbar. I was told that you couldn't have both seats and a roll bar, yet this seems to make it work. Does anybody know where I could find somethig like this?? Also... where is the torsion bar adjustment? I think mine is cranked up, and I'd like to lower it a bit.
TheSubaruJunkie
Looks like a standard rollbar to me. And i dunno who told you you cant have both. I removed a rollbar just like that from the junkyard and it had jumpseats in there. -Brian
ShawnW
Torsion bar bolt is accessed from under the brat. Center of the driveline on the torsion bar on the trianglular thing that sticks out the back of the torsion bar. Its probably a 19MM head if I remember correctly. Yeah, I've seen rollbarred Brats like this around here before - mostly when I was a kid, but occasionally one sneaks by on the freeway. The rollbars usually have BMX padding on them, FWIW. And just for the sake of being pedantic, those photos are probably from the Pacific Northwest, judging by the weather - the one interior shot we could see was of a LHD vehicle, but Japan's a RHD country. Qman
Credit Wayne from PDX Here mine Chris. This is the bar usually used when seats are in the rear. The low bar really restricts use.
