stinky
I'm removing the rear seat from my ea81 wagon. The actual seat was easy to do, just a few bolts but the back doesn't have any obvious way of removing. It has a thick pin on either side that seems to go into the body to allow it to pivot. I can't see how to retract or remove these pins other than firing up the angle grinder which for obvious reasons I am reluctant to do. Anyone know how to do it ? Qman
One side will have a plastic cover over the pin, I believe. Remove that cover and push to that side. It should pop right out.
Turbone
Heres what the 82 FSM says (Note-Any wierd wording is Japanese related). Turn forwardly bushing on the left side of the body to disengage it from the hinge pin, and remove it from the body by pulling it forward toward the center of the body(I assume this is the pin cover). Pull out hinge pin on right side out of the hole on the bracket in the right side of the body, while bringing back rest to the extreme left end. Bring back rest to the right and pull out the left hinge pin. Simple, eh?
jeffroid
Even if it would work, isn't the carpet attached to both the seat back and the cargo deck? It is on my wagons, so even if you could pop the seat out of the hinges it's not like you could easily remove and install it. You would still have to remove and reinstall the carpet, right ? ? ? stinky
Cool. that sounds doable. The carpet is long gone
