Ross
Havn't seen any decent 13" tires new. I saw a very old set of what looked like 175/70 R13 Mud tires on a honda city a while ago! Looked about 15 years old though! Retreads can be ok, depends on what the testing regs are over there. The treads dont usually come off now days like they used to, but sidewalls can be a problem. You just don't know what has been done to the tires before they are retreaded - ie hit curbs etc. This can lead to sidewall failures. If you dont drive like a looney, they are ok - i have some on mine at the moment as i couldn't afford anythine else at the time!

nkx
i was going to say about the kumhos too, but everyone else has beaten me to it. however, if you read the reviews on tirerack, they say they arent very good in the snow, and they wear fast on pavement. subeman90
check your inspection laws and such....here in PA you can't put retreads on a steering axle (front)....so you would only be able to use them on the rear...

edrach
Check out the Nokian website. For all the hype and such, the Hakkipollitta snow tires are still the best studless snows. And they are aggressive enough to work well in the mud. since i bought the 13in alloys, i want to put a real aggressive mud/snow tire on the brat.what aggressive 13`s would you guys recomend? also, anybody hear have bad luck with remanufactured tires that have new treads (retreads)?i found some nice ones. thanks Jon
